Reverend Ryan Thompson - Assistant Pastor

Ryan has come to us just after finishing his M Div at RTS-Charlotte May '10.  He has loads of expereince working with youth.  However, he now has the opportunity to serve in many different avenues for our church.  He has a Marketing degree from Texas A&M University and loves his alma mater (Gig Em!)

His wife Kristen comes along with him from Baylor University, graduating with a studio art degree.  She has previously been serving as the Girls Ministry Director at Grace Community Church in Mills River, NC.

The Thompson family has a new arrival: Knox Paul Thompson who was born May 18th 2010.

Ryan has a passion for seeing families lead their home in worshipping the Lord together.  Bringing Christ to the dinner table is a great way for real gospel transformation to begin.  Just look at the following passage:

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
