American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a Christ-centered scouting program for girls ages 5-18, which was started by a group of parents who wanted a scouting program for their daughters that reflected the Christian values they held dear.  Today there are more than 5000 American Heritage Girls who meet across the United States, including those girls in Troop 1412 which meets here in Henderson County.

The following are a few dates to put on your calendars:
 
Tuesday, Sept 1st - our first meeting of the year at 3:30 at Covenant Presbyterian.
 
Monday, Sept 7th - Apple Festival Parade
 
Friday, Sept 11th - Fall Family Picnic from 5pm to 9pm (details will follow)
 
 
 
We will begin collecting canned food items for our Thanksgiving baskets that we will be giving away again this year to help some families who otherwise would not have Thanksgiving.  If you can, remember to bring 1 canned food item to every meeting beginning with the one on Sept 1st.
