Music Ministry Leader: Marissa Pope-Beck
The purpose of Covenant’s Music Ministry program is to provide a musical atmosphere that sets the stage for hearing, understanding and receiving God’s Word. We do this through multi-generational participation, by individuals with a variety of musical backgrounds. Our musical offerings range from traditional church music to contemporary praise and worship music.
Music Ministry Opportunities
Sanctuary Choir – The Sanctuary Choir is open to all that love to sing! We meet for practice and fellowship on Wednesday nights from 7:30 – 9:00 pm, and Sunday mornings at 10:15 am. At the Sunday morning service, the Sanctuary choir presents an anthem as well as helps to lead the congregation in singing the hymns and praise songs.
Praise Team – The Praise team consists of instrumentalists as well as singers, and we are open to anyone with a willing spirit to Praise the Lord! The Praise Team meets on Wednesday nights from 6:45 – 7:30 pm and Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:30 am. The Praise team helps to lead the congregation in singing the hymns and praise songs. We present a contemporary anthem every few weeks.
Children/Youth Choir - This is a music time for children and youth in Grades 1-12. We meet on Sunday nights from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. We offer musical presentations throughout the year.
Youth Bell Choir – The Youth Bell Choir is open to youth who have willing hearts and hands. Reading music is helpful, but not a precursor to joining the group. We meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30 – 7:15 pm. We present music during the Sunday Service every other month.
